Vintage Summer Swimsuit or Sweater Chic????

If you live in the state of New York or the city, you may be wondering what the *** is up with the weather?  It is June, how is a girl to show off her summer style with weather in the 60's maybe 70's - not to mention the non stop rain and or clouds?  I thought it was summer and I was trying on vintage bathing suit styles this week.  See this rope suit in my shop:Mad Men Swimsuit- Okay so maybe this would look better on actress Christina Hendricks, or maybe it is my pucker/pout the only thing I could muster in this weird --Cold NY-- yeah I said it-- weather. Some like it hot? Count me in and bring on the sunshine!  As I write this it is 66 degrees in NYC.....month JUNE.... It's making me long for last summer's situation where I spent some time on the enchanting Cumberland and Jekyll Island off of the Georgia coast.  It is an amazing preserved destination once the playground of the Carnegie family, but alas I digress....

This summer, if it arrives here, have fun with your style at the beach and opt for a cool vintage cover up or bathing suit! The bathing suit cuts in particular can be very forgiving my post baby body agrees. If you are freaked out by wearing vintage swimwear..(I wash and look for very special hardly or unused historic pieces only), then think vintage pin up girl inspired.
