Brad and Rachel Zoe break up!

NOOOOO.... Rachel looses another stylist, but not just any style assistant the super stylish Brad. They had a threesome going which one would think would include Rodger but instead was between Rachel, fashion and Brad! Now one might call fowl here but the two have released statements saying it was friendly and Brad just wants to move on to his own clients. This makes some sense if one thinks about some of Rachel's newer male clients which were attracted to Brad's take on fashion as well. He has a trademark look/style and now Rachel Z training which should translate into Cha ching $ for him.

Such is the fashion business and Brad's funny and sharp whit on the Rachel Zoe Project will be missed by us all. Many times online sources seem to feel Rachel is working her assistants to death. BUT in her defense I feel that she opens doors for them and shares her glow and strategies as well. This leads to new opportunities= Rachel alone in need of an assistant. She may need to look for someone who has no other life goal but to be her assistant and bask in her world wind. Rachel Zoe's passion for fashion does seem to take a toll on her and those around her as the show often touches on, but let us not forget what makes her so interesting and just plain BAN A NAS and Fabulous. So please go easy on Rachel she just lost her Gay and that is tough!!!!

1920's New Again

If you are always looking to predict the next fashion trend look no more. I feel that the 1920's is definitely on. Think to the September 2010 issue of Vogue otherwise known as The September Issue! Halle Berry is on the cover featuring a twenties bob, babbles and dress. Also, another clue- HBO's Boardwalk Empire. I predict we will be seeing more of this aesthetic. So, how can you apply this look in a modern way? I enjoy the flapper dress silhouette but probably the most applicable way is through a dress or jewelry. You can go vintage of course and look for the long flapper necklace with a tank or sweater. The tassel styles are great, beaded and have modern lines! Stacking on some vintage rhinestone bangles or a thicker bakelite bangle could be just that right 20's touch for today! Hair is a change for the fashion forward and a modern version of the flapper hair is great and we are definitely seeing short hair in style now!

Diane Von Furstenberg Patterns!

I found a new thing to me which was the Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress pattern from the 1970's! There are actually vintage dresses out there from the 1970's handmade using her patterns for Vogue patterns. They were extremely popular and are making a come back if you sew! You can find them vintage online or new in stores.
